A current Don, Daria will be returning next year as she enters into her 3rd year. Daria is exceptional at community building and demonstrating a patient and empathetic approach when supporting students and this year has built a tight-knit community in First House. She consistently demonstrates a dedication to accessibility and inclusion and these commitments have and no doubt will continue to serve her in the Don role and the Innis community as a whole. Daria is involved with the Innis Herald in addition to Donning.
A current Don, Allie will be returning next year as she enters into her 4th year. Allie brings a unique style of leadership to the team with her more introverted and individualized approach to community management. She is consistently praised by her teammates for being thoughtful and helpful in team-settings and will no doubt bring these qualities again next year.
A current Don, Victoria will be returning next year as she enters into her 5th year. Victoria excels with time management and organization and this has lent well to her Donning and role as a team member. Next year on the side of Donning Victoria will also be filling a role with Student & Campus Community Development as a Team Lead for the Canadian Conference on Student Leadership.
The Transition & Support Don in 2016/2017, Patrick will be returning after completing his PEY placement this year working in Transit Technology Engineering Consulting with IBI Group here in Toronto. Patrick’s calm approach will be a welcomed addition once again on the team as he moves into this returning, but new-to-him, role.
A new Don, Matt is currently a first year Engineering Science student. He brings a wealth of interesting leadership experience including work as the Vice President of Outreach of Innomasters for U of T’s Engineers Without Borders. He has been very involved in community life at Innis this year and was noted as an emerging leader by his current Residence Don.
A new Don, Dianthi currently works at the Front Desk at the Innis Residence and is an active member of the residence and College community. Beyond the Front Desk she has also been heavily involved with the IRC, InSIGHT Mentorship, the Innis Herald, and U of T’s English Students Union over the last two and a half years. She will be entering into her 4th year this coming Fall.
The new Transition & Support Don is currently the Secretary on the IRC, and an Assistant Peer Mentor with U of T’s Actuarial Science First Year Learning Community. He also brings experience working with youth councils and as a computer instructor at a children’s camp. Ethan will be entering into his 3rd year this coming Fall.
