The Dean of Students & Residence is responsible for ensuring that the cultural, social, recreational and academic environment contributes to the total educational experience of the students at Innis College. His responsibilities include the administration and operation of all aspects of the College residence; as well, the Dean is responsible for student life programming for all Innis students including commuting students, international student life and experience, relations with student government and societies, and student life issues in university governance. The Dean serves on University-wide committees engaged in the review, development and implementation of policy affecting the quality of student life on campus.
Tim Worgan was appointed Dean of Students & Residence at Innis College in 2009. He has been a member of Innis College and the University of Toronto community for the past 12 years. Tim holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from York University and has taught extensively at schools, colleges and universities throughout Canada, including 14 years at Ryerson University. He received an M.Ed in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning at the University of Toronto (OISE), specializing in arts curriculum development.
Sarah Burley Hollows, the Assistant Dean, Student Life, works with the ICSS and our Innis student leaders to locally support all our Innis students (both commuters and residents), providing them with information, resources and assistance in navigating the University, ensuring your undergraduate years are successful and meaningful to your future career.
Sonja Smiljanic, the Residence Life Coordinator, lives in the Innis Residence and, together with the Residence Dons, House Reps, and the Innis Residence Council (IRC), oversees residence life in accordance with the goals of the Residence, with a focus specifically on developing a strong residence life community.
