Comments Off on The Human LibraryMeet Kalissa Duong,
Hey Innis! I’m Kalissa and I’m a 4th year student specializing in Human Biology: Health & Disease, and majoring in Microbiology. I’m also a co-chair of the Innis OSL Health & Wellness Committee.
While studying, remember to take breaks! It will help clear your mind a bit – especially when things start to become overwhelming. Even just taking a 10 minute break to browse social media or watch some videos after an hour of studying really helps calm me down.
To de-stress, I will go to the gym and get in a good workout. There’s something satisfying about being able to use all that negative energy and tension and putting that into my lifts or during cardio. You also don’t need to go to the gym for 2 hours – you can exercise or stretch for 10-30 minutes and then get right back to studying (these exercises, for example). Exercise is great for your mental health and can also help you with your studies.
Best of luck on all your exams! Stay well.
