What’s the best way to start off the new decade? Get rid of all those clothes that you never wear and trade them in for something new!
Clothing swaps are a great way to update your wardrobe and take care of the planet by extending the lifetime of clothes, preventing them from going to landfill, and reducing the production of new clothing items (and all the emissions and resources that go into them)!
We’re accepting donations of any gently-used clothing items and outerwear. This event is open to all U of T students (not just Innis) and members of the wider community, so come out with your friends! The more the merrier!
HOW IT WORKS:
For every item you donate, you’ll be able to take one piece of clothing from the swap for free!
Please drop off all donations to the ICSS Office, Room 105, 2 Sussex Avenue. The office is open from 10 am – 5 pm, Monday to Thursday. If you’re having trouble finding the office, you can see a map of the rooms within Innis College on Google Maps! We are located in the space labelled “student offices.” If you’re unable to drop off donation items during this time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to coordinate an alternative drop-off arrangement.
If you want to come out to the clothing swap but do not have anything to donate, you will also be able to purchase the items at the clothing swap. Each item will be sold for $1, and all proceeds will be donated to Tiny House Warriors, an Indigenous-led organization that is on the front lines opposing the Trans Mountain pipeline.
