The Insider seeks to provide you, our newest students, with valuable information needed to make the transition into university. Our team wants to give you the inside scoop about what life is like at Innis!
Beginning in June, our e-mentors will connect with you to answer your questions, help navigate university resources, offer advice and support, and help build a sense of belonging and community prior to your arrival on campus. Topics of discussion include how to get involved, course selection, budgeting, orientation, and where to hang out or study between classes.
How the program works:
Each incoming Innis College student will be connected with an upper-year Innis College mentor
Every two weeks, you will receive an email from your mentor that addresses a different element of university life (everything from academics to how to get involved)
You can email your mentor to ask questions throughout the summer
There will be social opportunities and office hours hosted by the Assistant Dean, Student Life (Madi Frost). More details will be posted in the bi-weekly emails throughout the summer with dates/times!
There is no need to sign-up for this opportunity because every incoming Innis College student is automatically enrolled!
*The first email from your mentor will be sent out Monday, June 15th!
