Innis College Orientation is a five day event that welcomes new Innis College students into the Innis community. A variety of activities are planned throughout the five day period that encourage students to build new relationships and become oriented to social and academic aspects of university life.
5 Reasons Why You Should Register for Innis College Orientation
Meet new people – Orientation is designed to help you meet other new students. You’ll make new friends with the people in your Orientation group while also meeting lots of people from your program and other colleges and faculties. Orientation also helps you meet upper year students who will help throughout your years at UofT.
Get to know campus and Toronto – Orientation Week events are planned on campus and off campus to help you get to know your new environment. Orientation Leaders will take you on tours so you’ll know where your classrooms are and where the cheapest places to eat are.
Prepare for school – During O-Week you’ll meet the people who are here to help you succeed academically. This includes the writing centres, libraries, registrar, and course unions to name a few. You might even have the chance to meet one of your professors!
Find your hobby – Throughout Orientation Week you’ll get a chance to hear about and even participate in some of the amazing clubs we have on campus. Love the Game of Life? Join Innis’s board game club! Want to learn ultimate frisbee? Sign up for intramurals!
