The Dean of Students & Residence is responsible for ensuring that the cultural, social, recreational and academic environment contributes to the total educational experience of the students at Innis College. His responsibilities include the administration and operation of all aspects of the College residence; as well, the Dean is responsible for student life programming for all Innis students including commuting students, international student life and experience, relations with student government and societies, and student life issues in university governance. The Dean serves on University-wide committees engaged in the review, development and implementation of policy affecting the quality of student life on campus.
As Dean of Students, Steve is broadly responsible for fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus environment that is conducive to students’ intellectual pursuits and academic success. He oversees programs and services designed to enhance the co-curricular experience of students and directs all aspects of the residence operation. Working alongside efforts of the College’s student societies and course unions, Steve serves on numerous University-wide committees engaged in the review, development, and implementation of policy as it relates to the student experience on campus.

Sarah Burley Hollows, the Assistant Dean, Student Life, works with the ICSS and our Innis student leaders to locally support all our Innis students (both commuters and residents), providing them with information, resources and assistance in navigating the University, ensuring your undergraduate years are successful and meaningful to your future career.
The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) is a live-in full time staff member who resides in the Innis Residence. Tyler, as the RLC, supervises the Residence Don team and supports the Innis Residence Council (IRC). Tyler, working with both of these groups, oversees life in residence and focuses on fostering a strong sense of community amongst residents. He provides support to students in need and responds to emergencies in residence. He also works closely with the Dean of Students and the Assistant Deans to develop a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.
