Meet Steve Masse, the new Dean of Students at Innis College.
My name is Steve and I’m the new Dean of Students at Innis College. As Dean, I’m responsible for overseeing the residence and all student life activities at the College. I have two pups, Beau and Lulu, and love to spend as much time as I can outdoors. Cycling, kayaking, and hiking are a few of my favourite pastimes.
One of the college’s strengths is most definitely its size. We’re a small, tight-knit community where it’s not uncommon to bump into friends and familiar faces. We also have a rich history of student leadership and engagement that, in many ways, is unparalleled on campus. These are just a couple of the reasons why I’m so thrilled to be a part of the Innis community!
I’m a huge supporter of parity governance at the College. As a former student leader myself, I welcome and appreciate the unique perspective that students bring to the table. The profound ways in which our students have shaped and influenced the evolution of the College is a testament to the success of this model.
Given that I’ve only recently joined the Innis community, my immediate goal is to meet and hear from as many of you as I possibly can. Looking ahead, my team and I will continue to work toward enhancing the student experience for all Innis students, especially for our international and commuter students.
Don’t be afraid to ask any of the staff at the College for help. Whatever question or situation you might be facing, you don’t need to figure it out alone. We can help… just ask!
